Master class on how to make a powerful, low-voltage water pump for various needs. For example, pump out a barrel of water for watering plants, etc. The pump works great battery 12 V, which is its primary advantage.

Will need

Making a water pump

We take an adapter with a diameter of 50 mm to 32 mm.

And a plug for a 50 mm pipe.

In the plug we place holes for the engine: two for mounting screws, one for the shaft.

We drill out and remove burrs.

Now you need to cut off the bottom part. We mark a straight line by rotating the plug.

We cut it off with a hacksaw. Using sandpaper, we level the surface and get rid of burrs.

We also cut off the skirt of the adapter using the same pattern.

We combine the adapter with the plug to check the evenness of the surfaces.

Take a small piece PVC tubes 20 mm in diameter and cut it at an angle of approximately 45 degrees. Next you need to create a rounded surface of the cut edge. To do this, wrap the adapter sandpaper and grind the edge of the tube until it forms a circle.

We make a hole in the adapter for the tube.

Glue the tube into the hole using epoxy glue.

Let's take a disposable syringe and check how tightly it fits onto the motor shaft. If it’s tight, then that’s normal, that’s what we need.

Cut off the tip of the syringe.

To make the impeller, you need to cut a square out of aluminum. Make a hole in it so that the skirt of the syringe fits tightly.

We mark the square into 9 parts.

We draw diagonals in squares across the cell. See photo.

We cut off the corners with metal scissors.

We bend the squares. See photo:

From an unnecessary inner tube from a bicycle or car, we cut out a gasket for the engine.

We take the motor with propellers.

We put on the gasket, put on the plug and fix it all with screws.

Then we put the cut-off pipette from the syringe on the skirt towards the motor.

Next we put on the impeller. Everything should fit very tightly. It would be a good idea to glue everything with epoxy-based glue.

From a pipe of 50 mm diameter we cut out a ring, approximately 10 mm wide. We insert half into the adapter. We remove the part that is visible through the hole.

Putting the pump together.

Many people want to make a manual water pump with their own hands. After all, if you don’t need constant water, then you don’t have to incur additional costs. After all, for example, it is perfect for watering.

Today we will look at several options on how to make a manual water pump with your own hands. The models are all made entirely by hand. They differ in materials of manufacture and volumes of water pumping. Let's directly understand how water is made hand pump with your own hands.

Why do you need a homemade pump?

The disadvantages of all pumps offered in stores include:

  • Most devices need to be connected to the electricity supply network, which is practically impossible for many dachas, especially during their construction.
  • In addition, electricity tariffs can also be “biting”, and in the event of a power outage, you can be left without water for an indefinite time.

All this leads to the fact that many thrifty homeowners want to have a backup device at their disposal for pumping water with a hand pump.

Tip: Having such a device at hand, you can always provide water to living plants in your area, or simply use the device at any critical moment.

Operating principle of a water piston pump

The most popular device for supplying water from wells, wells or reservoirs is a pump, which is designed as a piston type.

The principle of its operation is as follows:

  • A piston moves inside the cylinder. There is also an inlet valve and an outlet pipe, which can be equipped with a valve.
  • An outlet valve can be installed directly on the piston.
  • To improve performance, a spring is installed between the piston and the inlet valve, attracting the piston to the end of the cylinder with the inlet valve.
  • When the piston moves along the cylinder, a vacuum of air is created, which opens the valve and draws water through the inlet pipe.
  • When the piston moves back, the inlet valve closes and the fluid exits through the valve or outlet pipe.
  • The engine for such pumps is muscle force, and its performance depends on the applied effort and the volume of the cylinder.

Advice: With the help of such a pump, it is impossible to ensure a complete water supply, but at a critical moment it is quite possible to pump water and water the beds. Pumping pumps are installed on shallow wells - tubular ones.

It is possible to make such a device yourself, using a minimum set of tools and materials and possessing simple technological skills.

Manufacturing options

It's not difficult to do it yourself. To do this, first consider how much water you will need.

The video in this article will help you in your work and from the photo you can clearly see such equipment. Also below are instructions on the rules for performing this work.

Making a pump

We assemble a pump for overflowing water with our own hands from improvised means. Despite the fact that the design itself is primitive, it is very convenient if, when working in the garden, a large amount of water is needed, for example, for irrigation.

So, the pump is assembled in 10 minutes, and for this you will need:

  • Hose,
  • A pipe and a couple of necks from plastic bottles.

Pump assembly:

  • The gasket must be removed from the cork, trimmed by 2 mm so that it is smaller than the diameter of the cork itself, that is, the cork segment should be 3 mm.
  • Drill a 10 mm hole in the center of the cover.
  • Then place the petal in the lid and screw the prepared neck from plastic bottle so that it presses the segment that remains. The valve is inserted into the stem tube, then the second half of the cut plastic bottle is put on.
  • We put the outlet hose (see) on the other end. A self-made device works with several clicks along the axis of the rod when the intake part with the valve is in the water.
  • As long as there is a difference in levels, the liquid flows by gravity.

Attention: The water rises by immersing the rod in the barrel. This pump can be called a negative cost product, since it only requires time and household waste disposal.

DIY hand pump

The manual water pumping system described below can be taken as the basis for creating a stationary water-lifting station in a well or borehole.

We need:

  • PVC sewer pipe 50 mm with several bends, plug, sealing cuffs - 1 m.
  • Check valve 1/2″ in the amount of 2 pieces, sewage pipe PPR 24 mm,
  • Also rubber, bolts and nuts with 6-8 mm washers, several clamps, fitting clamps and other plumbing parts.

Attention: The design of the pump may not correspond to this description, since the use of spare parts is purely individual.

There are several ways to assemble such a pump.

Drain via handle

This model is the simplest of those that can be assembled at home: the rod is made of PPR pipe, the water in it rises and pours out from above. The sleeve is made from a pipe with a diameter of 50 mm and a length of 650 mm. The pump turns out to be the simplest of the home ones - water rises along the piston rod, which is made of PPR pipe and pours out from above.

So:

  • The sleeve is made from a pipe with a diameter of 50 mm and a length of 650 mm. The valve should be an annular petal valve: drill 10 holes with a diameter of 6 mm, cut out a round rubber flap in the amount of 3-4 pieces with a diameter of 50 mm.
  • We fix the flap in the center of the plug using bolts or rivets (a self-tapping screw will not work). This way we get a reed valve. You don’t have to make the valve yourself, but just embed a factory-made one into the end cap. At the same time, the cost of the pump will increase by 30%.
  • We install a plug into the sleeve using sealant through the insulation, and additionally fix it with self-tapping screws through the base wall of the sleeve.
  • The next element of the pump is the piston. The PPR is installed in the pipe check valve.

Attention: To do this, heat the end of the pipe and insert a fitting with a valve that allows water to flow in the direction of the piston rod. Before cooling, the connection should be strengthened with a clamp.

  • To make the piston head, you can use the used 340 ml sealant nose part. The pipe is first heated and placed in a sleeve. Thus the head will acquire the required form and size.
  • Next, it is trimmed and installed sequentially on the check valve using a coupling having external thread, or use a union nut.
  • We insert the piston into the base of the pump and make the top plug, which may not necessarily be sealed, but the rod must remain level.
  • We install the squeegee on the free end of the pipe and put a hose on it. A pump of this design is very reliable, but a little inconvenient - the water drain point is in constant motion and is located close to the operator. This type The pump can be changed a little.

Side drain assembly

Everything is done as follows:

  • We insert a 35 degree tee into the sleeve. We make large holes in the rod pipe without compromising the rigidity; alternatively, you can use a rod rod.

Attention: In this case, the water will rise with the help of the operator's reverse force towards the pump outlet.

  • The main advantage and advantage of the described pumps is low price designs. A factory valve costs approximately $4, a pipe about a dollar per 1 meter. And all other parts in total will cost 2-3 dollars.
  • We'll get a pump that costs less than $10. Repairing such pumps will also cost a pretty penny by replacing several “other” cheap parts.

Spiral hydraulic piston

It is a little more difficult to make a manual water pump in this design with your own hands. But it has more productivity. This type of piston is most often used when pumping water from reservoirs with a current over a short distance.

So:

  • The device is based on a carousel with blades, resembling the wheel of a water mill. The river flow is what drives the wheel. And the pump in this case is from flexible pipe 50-75 mm spiral, which is secured to the wheel with clamps.
  • A bucket with a diameter of 150 mm is attached to the intake part. Water will enter the pipeline through the main unit (pipe reducer). You can take it from either a factory pump or a sewer pump.
  • The gearbox must be tightly attached to the base, which is motionless and located along the axis of the wheel.
    Maximum water rise equal to length pipes from the fence, which is in the water during operation. This distance is obtained from the point at which the pump is immersed in water to the point at which it exits. This is the distance the water intake bucket of the pump travels.
  • The operating system of such a pump is simple: when it is immersed in water, a closed system with air sections, water flows through the pipe to the center of the spiral. The only disadvantage of this is that the activator is a body of water, so its use is not suitable for everyone.

This pump will serve as an excellent watering agent during the season. Its price depends on the material used.

Pump assembled from a compressor

If you don’t know what to use your existing compressor for, then this homemade pump option is for you. Thanks to its presence, you can assemble a lift from just two pipes.

So:

  • The first pipe will supply water. The diameter of the pipe should be 30 mm.
  • The second pipe will supply air from the compressor; the diameter of such a pipe will be 10-20 mm.
  • For creating hydraulic system in the first pipe (the one with a larger diameter) we make holes 50 mm from the edge and insert the second pipe. The knot that is created by connecting both pipes will be in the water, and the free end will be fed to the place where the water collects.
  • Coefficient useful action pump depends on the power of the compressor used, the depth to which the pump is immersed, and the height of the water supply. The efficiency will not exceed 70% due to the peculiarities of its assembly. That is, the efficiency can be calculated if the immersion depth is divided by the sum of the immersion depth and the height of the water rise.
  • Such a pump will cost you a small amount, unless you purchase a compressor specifically for it.

Can be done manually Vacuum pump with your own hands, because there is simply no air with it. But this model will be a little more complicated.

Pumping water with a hand pump, of course, is not as convenient as its electric counterpart. The speed of work is not even close to comparison. However, there are situations when a hand pump for water is necessary, and sometimes the only thing possible solution. For example, as a temporary type at the stage of installing water supply at home. It is unwise to buy a device for short-term use. Do you agree?

We offer extensive information on options self-made hand pumps. We present practice-tested methods available to home craftsmen in terms of costs and methods of implementation. A homemade product created according to our advice will reliably serve its intended duration.

The main purpose of using pump-type equipment is to pump water from a source to certain points: to a residential building, bathhouse, garage, garden. On suburban areas The source most often is wells, less often – ponds and other bodies of water.

All residential or country houses can be divided into three categories: permanent, seasonal and periodic residence. Not all of them have electricity, and some are supplied irregularly.

If we summarize all these factors, we can draw the following conclusions:

  • in houses permanent residence by default, electricity is used, so the main equipment for pumping water is an electric pump, and the manual model is a spare backup unit;
  • if the dacha is used only in the summer and power lines are connected, then the energy-dependent option is also ideal, and hand tool plays a minor role;
  • a summer cottage without electricity needs equipment most of all manual type.

To irrigate 2-3 flower beds, you can still draw water with buckets, but to ensure complete and daily watering of beds, greenhouses and lawns, a pump is needed. This is where a model that requires a pair of hands to operate comes in handy.

You can make a simple speaker yourself by using the skills of welding and assembling metal or plastic parts.

A model for making your own model can be a factory product assembled from durable cast iron or steel parts, with comfortable handle for use

Some craftsmen build reliable equipment for wells and wells that serves well for years. We present an overview of homemade products, for the manufacture of which scrap materials were used.

Types of devices for pumping water

Physical force alone used to lift water upward is not enough, since the process becomes difficult and labor-intensive. Therefore, mankind has long ago invented many devices that facilitate the rise of liquid from a well or natural reservoir to the surface.

All devices are combined general principle work, which is based on the interaction of the valve system.

There are many varieties of hand pumps, but four main types can be distinguished:

  • piston;
  • rod deep (varieties of piston);
  • winged;
  • membrane

For manufacturing at home, they usually choose the first type if it is necessary to service a well of shallow depth (3-6 m), or the second if it is necessary to lift water from a well from a depth of 10-12 m.

These models are considered to be the most productive, easy to assemble and install, and reliable. The rest have significant shortcomings, the biggest of which is considered to be insufficient productivity.

It was piston instruments that occupied the main niche among factory manual equipment, they are popular among home craftsmen.

The advantage of piston column pumps is their ease of assembly and installation. All the parts necessary for the manufacture of the body and dynamic parts can be found on the farm or purchased in addition.

And to connect elements into a single device it is usually enough home tool: drill, circular saw, hacksaw, pliers, wrenches. If necessary welding machine, then you can rent it or borrow it from your neighbors.

Popular handicraft pumps

To pump water from one place to another, all kinds of hand pumps are used. Their operating principle is based on the simplest laws of physics, according to which water can move through pipes and vessels due to differences in temperature, pressure, height, etc. Let’s find out how devices made by amateur craftsmen operate.

Option #1 - piston apparatus from casing pipe

The homemade product was invented by a master for a specific purpose - for. However, it turned out to be quite productive, so it was later used for pumping water out of the pond and as a backup pump during a power outage.

To make a pump, you will need a minimum set of tools: a grinder for cutting metal parts, a welding machine and a drill for drilling holes for fasteners

All work on cutting steel elements is carried out electrically circular saw. If you use hand tool, then production will take a long time.

Experience is required to connect metal parts welding work. If you are new to this business, we recommend that you familiarize yourself with.

Review of homemade pump parts:

For installation on the ground, a kind of base is used - a structure made of metal pipes 20*40 mm and 20*20 mm. Thanks to the long welded pipes, the pump stands firmly in a strictly vertical position.

Option #2 – rod pump for a well

The model, made from a ready-made fire extinguisher body, differs from the previous one in reliability and greater performance.

A homemade “samovar” can be safely installed in a well up to 15 m deep. It does not have to be used constantly, however, in the absence of electricity or for cleaning the well, it will be simply irreplaceable.

The principle of operation is the same: thanks to the vacuum in the zone of movement of the piston, water flows from the well into the pump housing, and from there through the outlet pipe - out into the substituted container.

The device is suitable for servicing a well, borehole, pool, pond or other body of water. It can pump not only clean water, but also dirty liquid with silt, sand and contaminants.

For manufacturing, you will need a tool for cutting and processing metal parts, as well as a welding machine. Distinctive features Let's look at the models in more detail.

On top, all metal parts are treated with a primer to protect against corrosion, since the pump will be located outside, in the open air.

On top of the primer it must be coated with metal paint to make protective layer as durable and airtight as possible.

This is what the piston looks like, which is responsible for the movement of water. This is a 5mm+thick perforated metal round plate rubber compressor. Hole diameter – 10 mm

It is difficult to judge the exact performance of the device; testing is necessary. However, we can say that with one press of the lever, about 2-3 liters of water are pumped, that is, with just 3-4 presses you can fill a bucket.

If the given instructions for assembling a homemade product seemed complicated to you and you do not want to waste time on manufacturing, but you need a pump for pumping dirty water, we advise you to take a closer look at ready-made models sold in stores. To make it easier for you to choose the right model, we suggest that you familiarize yourself with those presented on the market.

Option #3 – collapsible model for the summer season

If the well is shallow, an economical and easy-to-use plastic model can handle the delivery of water to the top.

A summer version of a hand pump, completely assembled from plastic pipes with a diameter of 20 and 50 mm. Only the check valve and filter are made of metal

For self-assembly you will need:

  • sewer plastic pipes 50 mm - 2 pieces 3 m each;
  • mesh filter for mounting on the end of the pipe;
  • thin PP pipe 20 mm with thread for attaching a check valve;
  • factory-made check valve;
  • fastening the handle from a tee 25*20 mm with a soldered thread;
  • metal tube for handle;
  • fluoroplastic gasket for making a piston;
  • clamps with dowels for attaching the pipe to the walls of the well.

The assembly proceeds as follows. First, a fluoroplastic piston is screwed to a flexible PP pipe with a diameter of 20 mm, through which water will move, and then a check valve.

They insert it into the sewer plastic pipe with a diameter of 50 mm, on the side of the check valve it is closed with a nozzle with a filter. The result is a “pipe-in-pipe” structure that must be immersed in the well.

A tee is screwed onto the other end of the PP pipe and a handle is inserted into it. To pump water, you need to hold the handle with both hands and move the pipe up/down.

In appearance and in the way the handle moves, the pump resembles a manual analogue for inflating bicycle wheels.

The outer part is supplemented with a spout made from a piece of sewer pipe and two fittings - a tee and a 90º angle. As the handle moves up/down, water pours out of the spout into the container underneath.

One of the advantages is simple plastic model is that it can be quickly disassembled. With the onset of cold weather, the outer parts are removed, and the PP pipe is simply pulled out. As a result, only one element remains - the sewer pipe, but in the well shaft there is no threat to it.

If you change your mind about making a homemade pump, you can always purchase ready-made equipment in the store. Tips for choosing a pump for a well.

Less popular manual modifications

In addition to piston models, which have proven themselves well in factory and homemade versions, other devices are also used.

They are less productive, but interesting from the point of view of design and operating principle.

Summer cottages need large quantities water. It is necessary to regularly water the greens and flowers in the flowerbed, and life-giving moisture is always useful for a variety of personal needs. Unfortunately, in the 21st century, power outages happen quite often, and then life in the house literally stops. The way out of the situation is to assemble a manual water pump with your own hands, the operation of which does not depend on the electrical network.

Various models

High price tags for these products can scare off people with little income, so we have to look for workarounds. this issue. An excellent alternative is a homemade hand pump for a well. A significant part of the main components The future device can often be found scattered in a barn or other utility rooms. It is enough to spend a couple of days of work for the deep unit to begin dispensing the first liters of the necessary liquid.

Can you make a hand pump? different types. Each model is designed for use in certain conditions:

Piston

The main task of the device is to get water from the horizon located closer to 10 m depth. The design of the device is quite simple for development. The main components in the circuit are a sealed cylinder, a working piston and a shut-off valve.

Diagram of a piston sample for self-assembly

The operating principle is based on the formation of a pressure vacuum (vacuum), thanks to which it is possible to capture portions of water. When the piston moves in one direction, the inlet valve opens (the outlet valve is closed) and the liquid penetrates into the working cavity. When the piston reaches the “dead” point and then begins to return, the inlet valve closes, the outlet valve opens and releases a portion through the outlet pipe.

The functioning of the piston unit is similar to how a classic pneumatic pump works.

Rod

Capable of extracting water from depths of more than 7 m. In order to assemble such a full-fledged manual water pump with your own hands, you will need the following parts:

  • a set of rods reaching the lower point of water extraction,
  • piston,
  • rod with balancer,
  • pipe column,
  • pump cylinder.

The pump cylinder is lowered to the sampling point, and the string is fixed to the casing water pipes. A check valve must be installed in the circuit.

K-shaped unit

Such a hand pump for a well is quite difficult to reproduce with your own hands. It is capable of drawing water from a horizon of about 9 m, and at the outlet it generates a pressure of about 2 atm.

Construction of homemade models

For self-production, 9 out of 10 craftsmen choose the piston model for its relative simplicity and availability of materials. Before making a manual device, it is necessary to prepare several check valves in the piston. A person uses physical force to push the piston down through the rod. Water is set in motion.

At the bottom there is an intake pipe, which is lowered into the water several tens of centimeters. An outlet pipeline is installed in the upper part. The unit should be installed at a height of 0.8-1.0 m above the ground. A shut-off valve is installed in the pipeline circuit.

Self-production

A manual water pump is made using working technology:

  1. The basic part for all pumps is the casing. Almost any high-quality pipe without through side holes will serve as a metal base for it. The most preferred are hydraulic cylinders having a ground and heat-treated internal surface.

With a diameter of about 80 mm, a length of 500-800 mm is sufficient. If available in the workshop lathe, then you can machine a thick-walled pipe along the inner diameter to ensure the same cross-section along the entire length.

In the absence of a leveling machine inner surface You can use a scraper to remove tides of metal and remove irregularities. The piston profile is made according to the cross-section of the pipe.

  1. End caps must be used to seal the cavity. They are made from different materials:
  • cast from plastic;
  • cut from metal;
  • cut out of wood.

In the latter case, larch or oak are suitable. They swell with water and seal as much as possible any gaps between the walls. One of the covers (top) must have a central hole. It is necessary in order to pass the rod inside. A hole is drilled in the side part and the outlet pipe is welded onto it.

  1. In order for a hand-assembled well pump to work for a long time, you need to choose the right material for the piston. It is advisable to use materials that have minimal corrosive properties, for example, plastic, bronze or brass, wood. Its diameter should be slightly smaller than the internal diameter of the pipe. The tightness will be created by rubber rings installed along the diameter.

In some cases, the piston is a prefabricated structure of several “pancakes”, between which there are rubber gaskets larger diameter, ensuring the tightness of the structure.

Be sure to match the thickness of the gaskets and correctly calculate their diameter so that the stroke is not extremely tight.

  1. The inlet pipe can be a hard rubber hose. Plastic pipe is also acceptable.
  2. Much attention is paid to check valves that block the flow of water during pumping. Their grinding is carried out carefully, otherwise the liquid will pass under the diameter and return to the well. In “homemade” products, it is customary to use check valves on balls or membranes. In the latter case, the membrane is a piece of an old slope, which is fixed with rivets or screws. The balls are used from old bearings.

When calculating the length of the outlet pipe and rod, it must be taken into account that the structure can be located a meter below ground level.

  1. The handle that is supposed to be used for inflation is selected from an aluminum tube. It will need to be secured to the rod with a bolted connection. To return the handle to its original position, a spring can be provided, one end of which is fixed on the body, and the other on the small end of the handle.

Pros and cons of devices

When evaluating a design, it is worth considering its advantages and disadvantages. The advantages include:

  • quick installation combined with simplicity of equipment;
  • Such a model can be installed in almost any conditions and for any site;
  • there is no need to supply electricity, spending money on this;
  • the design is repairable, as it is assembled from available materials and can be modernized at any time;
  • the final cost of the product is minimal;
  • All work is carried out without the involvement of third-party specialists.

There are also disadvantages:

  • it is necessary to apply physical force, which is not always possible for the elderly or children;
  • low capacity is designed for small portions even with intensive pumping;
  • If the assembly is carried out poorly, then working units may regularly fail.

It is worth considering that in some cases, a manual pump does not have worthy alternatives that can also effectively cope with the provision of water to an area.

How to assemble the simplest water pump for water overflow

This is an absolutely primitive design with minus cost. That is, not only do you not have to buy anything, you can also dispose of waste or pump water. This design is mainly used for watering, when you get tired of carrying the tenth bucket and then the engineering idea begins its flight. Structurally, this is a check valve, which is fixed on a pipe with an outlet.

You will need:

  • soft hose;
  • a tube;
  • necks from 1.5-2 liter bottles.

What to do:

  1. You need to remove the gasket from the plugs and cut it to 2 mm in diameter.
  2. Make a Ø 10 mm hole in the center of the lid with a drill.
  3. The cut circle is inserted into the cork and screwed until it stops.
  4. On one side, the bottle neck and valve are put on the tube, on the other, a soft hose through which the liquid will flow.

You can put it into operation if you press the axle several times to suck in the liquid, and then it will flow by gravity.

As long as there is a level difference, water will flow. You can configure the entire structure for large volumes, for example, if you lower the rod into a storage tank.

VIDEO: How a manual water pump for a well works

Have you decided to landscape your area with a water fountain? Great idea for those who like to create elements of “street decor” in their country house or cottage. Today, a high-quality and modern fountain is not cheap, and for many it simply becomes a pipe dream. However, do not despair: read the instructions below and try to make a water pump yourself!

A water pump (or pump) is widely used by gardeners and is an indispensable tool for watering lawns, local area and garden plot. Today, specialized stores offer a wide range of different pump-type devices, mostly electric. But often times arise when the lights are turned off, or power problems occur, then water pump comes to help.

To make it yourself, you can’t do without:

  • Drill;
  • Soldering iron;
  • Brake chamber;
  • Glue (epoxy);
  • Car camera;
  • Copper tubes;
  • Metal balls;
  • Pairs of gloves;
  • Small springs and metal pieces.
To work, use an old car camera. Of course, you can buy new material, in this case the device will last much longer. You will need to disassemble it and plug all the wells. Make a couple of holes at the bottom of the chamber (for valves) and do not forget about the hole for the rod that will protrude top part details. Then cut a small piece of metal tube (copper or brass can be used), the walls of which should be thick. Now you should select a metal ball of the required diameter for the tube. Moreover, it should be slightly larger than the inner diagonal of the pipe. Then use a drill to make a hole ( bigger size, than a ball) approximately half the product long. Now you need to place the ball in the tube (across the hole) and secure it on top with a piece of soldered wire. This will be the “inlet valve”. Its operation is set up so that when pressure is applied, a suction process occurs, which will lift the ball and allow the hole to open. Moreover, he will not be able to “fall out” from there, since he is tightly pressed by the wire.

Now you need to design the "release valve". It is done similarly to the previous part. The only difference is that you need to attach a spring between the wire and the ball, which will perform the function of “pressing the hole.” When pressure occurs, the ball will rise and the spring will compress, which will cause the valve to open. Don't forget to place the valves in the holes using epoxy glue so that the part has strength.

Cut off a piece of car rubber to make a membrane. Cut a circle of material around the perimeter of the brake chamber and make a hole in the middle. Insert the pads on both sides, into which insert a pin with a special thread. Don't forget to secure the part with nuts. Attach a circle to the bottom of the brake chamber (preferably with glue). Pull the rod through the hole and secure the top and bottom of the chamber. To make your pump convenient to use, attach a handle-shaped holder to it. Do this with a soldering iron. If desired, you can decorate this device at your discretion to “fit” it into the interior of the site. A little patience and imagination - and the water fountain is ready for use!

Of course, it’s easier than ever to purchase a new piston-type device in the form of a pump. However, firstly, the price for them is very high, and secondly, they have a certain property of “breaking”. Therefore, to save your money, it is proposed to design a water pump yourself. Having studied all the tips described above, this work will not be difficult even for a “newbie”.
