Wedding destination - it is in this category that the Seychelles Islands invariably appear in foreign guidebooks: happy newlyweds flock to its idyllic landscapes all year round. The Seychelles offer a very rare commodity in today's hectic world - absolute peace, solitude and a measured pace of life (if not the complete absence of it) - in a word, ideal conditions for starting a life together. Paradise, let's face it, is not cheap, but on the other hand, there is only one wedding... at least, few people are already planning their next wedding during their honeymoon.

Another category of local tourists are people who are in love with the sea: there are many exceptionally beautiful dive sites around the archipelago, and the coasts of its 115 islands are washed by waves for every surfer’s taste. In addition, lovers of sea fishing, yachting and exclusive beach holidays without any frills come here. Need I add that they are all at least very wealthy people?

Disadvantages of the direction? Well, there is one... although this is for someone... look at the price lists and you will find out.

Climate

Tropical, very mild, without significant temperature fluctuations throughout the year. It is never too cold or too hot here. Average annual air temperature is +26...+30 °C. Rather, for the sake of formality, it is still customary to distinguish between two seasons: a conventionally hot one (December-May) and a conventionally cool one (June-November), when the monsoons blow. During the hot season, most of the year's precipitation falls, mainly on the mountainous islands of Mahe and Silhouette. The rainiest month is January. The rains are heavy but short-lived. Visa and customs

Russian citizens arriving for a period not exceeding 30 days do not require a visa to the Seychelles. But despite the general “chocolate” and safety of the destination, medical insurance will not hurt.

The import and export of foreign and local currencies is not limited; the permissible limit for the transportation of local currencies is 2000 SCR. 200 cigarettes or 250 g of tobacco are allowed duty free; 2 liters of alcohol with a strength of more than 16% and 2 liters of less strong drinks; 200 ml of perfume. The import of other goods is limited to 3000 SCR per person. When transporting musical instruments, sports equipment and portable electrical appliances, you will have to pay a special deposit (on the way back the money will be returned - if, of course, the listed items leave the country with the traveler). Prices on the page are as of October 2018.

Pets are quarantined (14-180 days) and are allowed into the Seychelles only if they have an international veterinary certificate issued no earlier than a month before arrival. The import of weapons (including pneumatic and spearfishing), vegetables, fruits, plants, birds, tea, non-canned meat and meat products, as well as medicines and drugs is prohibited. The export of shells, corals, tortoiseshell products and coco-de-mer nuts without special permission is prohibited.

There is no Tax free system in the Seychelles.

How to get to Seychelles

Entertainment and attractions

The historical “excursion” in the Seychelles is present in minimal quantities - and, by and large, it is not needed. All the main attractions here are exclusively natural: snow-white (and in some places even soft pink!) beaches, pure water, unique tropical nature, colorful marble stones and a stunning underwater world. Service in hotels, bungalows and lodges is always at the same level. The Aborigines are nice and friendly. The sunsets are fantastic, the waves (where there are no strong currents) are invariably gentle. And also a fantastic (and this is not an artistic exaggeration) underwater world.

Reserves

Cousin Island, a nature reserve since 1968, is 2 km from Praslin Island. It is home to several endangered species and a nesting site for seabirds and turtles. Two of which, old George and Georgina, live here and often follow tourists in the hope of getting their necks scratched.

Bird Island can be reached in half an hour by plane from Mahe Island. The island is known as home to approximately 1.5 million black terns, which live here from May to September. The giant tortoise Esmeralda also lives here (they say she is already over 150 years old). Curieuse Island, named after the ship that discovered it in 1768, is known for its large colony of giant tortoises and dense thickets of tropical plants. There is also a national marine park here.

Arid Island is located just 15 km from Praslin. In 1973, it was purchased for the Royal Conservation Society by Christopher Cadbury, an English chocolate magnate. The island serves as a major gathering place for seabirds throughout the region and is home to the world's largest colonies of roseate terns, little fulmars and red-tailed tropical birds.

St. Anna Marine National Park consists of 6 small islands. A tour of them begins with a trip on a boat with a transparent bottom, which allows you to observe the colorful life of coral reefs. Next, the path goes to the island of Moyen, which is privately owned by a certain Mr. Grimshaw, who has lived here for a long time and is still trying to find pirate treasures. You can explore the island, see pirate graves and historical ruins (and try to fill Mr. Grimshaw's buckets by finding the notorious treasure).

10 things to do in Seychelles

  1. Do nothing, do nothing and do nothing again on the secluded white sandy beaches of the Seychelles archipelago.
  2. Dive into the captivating underwater world off the coast of Seychelles.
  3. Appreciate the delights of Creole cuisine - and not necessarily bat stew, for example, fish with rice - how wonderful it is!
  4. Try to find pirate treasure on Moyen Island.
  5. Take a walk around the capital of Victoria Island and look at one of the two traffic lights in the entire country.
  6. Fly in a helicopter over the turquoise surface of the Indian Ocean.
  7. Fish for tuna, secretly hoping to catch a blue marlin.
  8. Take a risk and get legally married to the approving whisper of the ocean.
  9. Join the proud fraternity of “boarders” on Grand Anse beach.
  10. Take a coco-de-mer nut with you to your homeland so that you have something to remember during the long Russian winter.

Nightlife

Fans of vibrant nightlife may be disappointed: all local entertainment is represented by a couple of discos and a casino. There are only three casinos on the island of Mahe: at the Plantation Club hotel, Berjaya Beau Vallon and the recently opened, but already become the best casino in Victoria. It's the same problem with clubs. They are far from numerous and often uninteresting. Pleasant exceptions: “Lovant Club” in the center of Victoria, the “Katiolo” disco, which looks like “Uncle Tom’s Hut” and a rural disco of the 80-90s, the very small “Club 369” and “Barrel” (or simply “Barrel” ) - a cheap and cheerful establishment, mainly with a local audience. On the island of Praslin there is a casino at the Lemuria Resort.

But the islands host many festivals and sporting events throughout the year, the most famous among them being the Grand Regatta and the Festival of Creole Culture.

Holidays and events in Seychelles

The main public holidays in the Seychelles fall in the first month of summer. June 5 - Liberation Day in honor of the socialists coming to power, June 29 - Independence Day: in 1976, the islands left British control and officially became a republic. The brightest of the summer series is the Day of National Reconciliation on June 18 in honor of the adoption of the Constitution with magnificent parades in the capital, music shows and flower exhibitions.

At the September culinary festival on Praslin, among other treats, you can taste coco-de-mer cocktails, ostrich stew and other exotic dishes.

The New Year is celebrated with a tropical flavor: palm trees are decorated instead of Christmas trees, flowers are hung instead of electric garlands, but dancing, fireworks and feasts are international traditions. The Seychelles also love festivals: in the spring they hold the March Carnival, which attracts thousands of tourists, and French Week with concerts, exhibitions and craft fairs. A sailing regatta takes place in May, and Mind Body Spirit, which promotes a healthy lifestyle, takes place in June. The festival of Creole culture is a chance to get acquainted with the ancient customs of the islanders; the fishing festival on La Digue is an opportunity to compete with the locals in the art of fish hunting.

Seychelles is a small island state in the Indian Ocean. And the state is truly magical. Here, on 400 square kilometers, there is an incredible amount of fauna and luxurious tropical plants, most of which bloom in incredibly huge flowers.

All this happens largely due to the climatic conditions of the islands. Let's find out what the weather is like in the Seychelles by month.

Seychelles climate

Around the islands coral reefs, which keep many secrets of sunken ships that have rested at the bottom for many centuries. And the coastal waters are teeming with numerous marine inhabitants.

It already rains in September, although not often. The humidity had not yet risen. The water in the ocean is warm, as always. Tourists love this month. And most importantly, they start migrate birds– huge flocks of tropical birds over the islands are a truly fantastic sight. The temperature is the same as in August, but the humidity is already 48%.

October - heavenly month for tourists. Winter has already passed, but summer has not yet arrived. The ocean is calm, the water is crystal clear, the temperature is comfortable, and almost the same day and night. Humidity is already 64%.

November is beginning of the wet season. It rains almost every day, and it starts and ends suddenly. Humidity rises to 90%. But there is still a light breeze blowing, relieving the heat.

Water and air are the same temperature. And you can swim between showers with pleasure.

When is the best time to relax?

You can relax in the Seychelles Always. It all depends on the preferences of the particular traveler, the purpose for which he comes to the islands, and his health. And entertainment here depends not so much on the season, but on the specific month with its weather characteristics.

Everything that is offered to tourists besides a beach holiday is available almost all year round. But any type of holiday is better suited to the dry or rainy season.

High season for holidays

The dry season or winter, since this is the Southern Hemisphere and here everything is the other way around, comes to the islands in June - the beginning. And they rush here hundreds of tourists. At this time it is not so hot here, but comfortable enough to relax by the ocean. The average temperature during the day is +28 degrees, at night you can take a little break from the heat, since the thermometer shows +24C°. Precipitation is rare, the ocean is calm, and it smells fresh.

There are plenty of things to do for travelers at this time:

It's rainy time

The period from November to May is considered the rainy time. Humidity reaches 83%, and air temperature reaches +31 degrees. They go often showers. The water off the coast is always warm, from +30 to +26 degrees.

Even during the rainy season, there is something to do in the Seychelles:

  1. Surfing- one of the most popular sports in the Seychelles, the best time for it is November-April;
  2. Fishing— fishing tour packages are sold here, which include fishing equipment. You can catch tuna, marlin, dorado, and on the islands of Alphonse, Desroches and Denis they hold fishing competitions best catch. This is almost a year-round activity, except for June-July, when the ocean is not calm;
  3. There are numerous diving centers, where you can get advice on diving. The best place for diving is Desroches Island, where the brightest coral reefs and caves are accessible only to experienced divers. You can practice all year round, but the best month for this is April, and the worst is June-July, due to the choppy ocean;
  4. The local diving school offers upgrading or training to become PADI certified.

  5. Seychelles is a paradise for yachtsmen. There are ideal conditions for sailing here; you can rent a yacht for any period of time with or without a skipper, but it is better not to sail on the ocean in June-July due to strong waves.

The proximity of the Seychelles to the equator denies the existence of winter and summer as such; most likely, it is always summer here, but with slight temperature differences.

The only thing that affects the climate of the islands is the monsoons, blowing in different directions and creating 2 seasons in the Seychelles:

  • dry from May to October
  • humid from November to April

Seychelles is a fairly young country, so all the holidays celebrated on the islands are tied to religious holidays, with the exception of annual festivals.

Winter Seychelles

December

In December, wet monsoons from the northwest arrive on the islands. Humidity increases and, compared to summer and autumn, the thermometer rises by a couple of degrees.

The air at this time warms up to 30 degrees, and the water does not drop below 28 degrees even in the evening hours and is warmer than the night air.

The sea at this time is quite calm, and the rains fall at night and by the morning there is no trace left of them. Therefore, a beach holiday with excursions in the first half of the day is very comfortable.

After lunch it becomes quite stuffy, and it is better to devote this time to spa treatments or excursions through the jungle. It is especially important in December to go watch the birds that arrive for the winter.

January

In January, humidity reaches its maximum and temperatures rise slightly.

However, for weather-sensitive people, children and the elderly, this can complicate acclimatization.

Temperatures are perceived higher due to stuffiness and the only thing that can refresh is short-term rain. The water in the sea reaches 30 degrees, so it looks more like fresh milk.

February

The wet season continues in February, however maximum quantity rainy days do not exceed 12. Therefore, even in the low tourist season on the Seychelles islands it can be favorable and sunny than in similar rainy seasons, for example, in Thailand.

If daytime temperatures remain at 30 degrees, the evenings in February become even warmer.

Because of high humidity During this period, you can only refresh yourself under air conditioning in hotels, since the water in the sea is at least 30 degrees.

Spring Seychelles

March

In March, the Seychelles prepares for the change of season. The winds begin to change their direction, which brings coolness.

The number of clear days on the islands is increasing. Rains still fall, but they are short-lived and bring welcome freshness rather than discomfort.

Humidity decreases to 75-80 percent, and it becomes easier to breathe. It is during the off-season that temperatures are ideally combined with humidity and precipitation and provide the most eventful vacation.

After the long rainy season, all the flora and fauna on the islands bloom, many tropical birds arrive, so excursions and safaris in the jungle are very popular during this period.

April

April ends the rainy season in the Seychelles and delights tourists with comfortable temperatures, low humidity and the maximum number of clear days for this period. Temperatures remain at 30 degrees in the air and 29 degrees in the water.

May

In May, the Seychelles experiences a dry season with low humidity and relatively low temperatures. The air warms up to 25-28, and the water does not drop below 28.

The northwestern trade winds give way to southeastern ones and calm, windless weather sets in on the islands. During the daytime, be sure to use sunscreen.

The winds on the coast create excellent waves for surfers, however, snorkeling and diving can continue to be enjoyed in the harbors. Daylight hours increase to 8 hours, which allows you to fully enjoy your beach holiday.

Summer Seychelles

June

With the advent of calendar summer, there are more and more clear days, and rain falls no more than 4-5 days a month. The sky is almost always cloudless, but strong southwesterly winds from the Indian Ocean bring storms, reaching 6 points.

At this time, the Seychelles is a real paradise for surfers.

Air temperatures are a couple of degrees lower than winter ones, so the summer months are easily tolerated even by tourists from the north.

For a relaxing, quiet holiday, it is better to choose the western beaches, and to conquer the waves, the eastern coast.

July

In July it becomes even drier, daylight lasts 7 hours and there is no stuffiness. During this period, you can pay attention to the excursion program and walks in the jungle.

Of all the months of the year, July can be considered the coldest for the Seychelles. However, the tourist season is at its peak and there is no need to talk about last-minute trips.

August

August largely duplicates July and differs little in wind intensity or temperature.

This month everything is also relevant active water sports: sailing, fishing and surfing.

Autumn Seychelles

September

September is a transition month between dry and humid climates, so moderate temperatures, humidity and a low probability of strong storms provide tourists with a good rest.

Precipitation occurs no more than 6 days a month in the evening. Humidity increases, but only slightly, adding a couple of degrees from the general air temperatures. The water remains at a comfortable level of 28 degrees.

October

An abundance of fruits and flowers greets tourists in October in the Seychelles.

This month marks the end of the dry season and the winds change direction. The northwest trade winds begin to blow, bringing clouds, and the number of rainy days increases to 9 per month.

At the same time, humidity begins to increase significantly, creating hot, stuffy weather during the daytime.

Noisy and colorful in October Creole Festival, dedicated to the preservation and dissemination of Creole culture. Artists, musicians and dancers from different countries come to the islands.

November

In November, the wet hot season returns to the Seychelles, but precipitation falls mainly at night and does not exceed 9 days a month.

Due to high humidity, temperatures that are constant for Seychelles around 30 degrees are perceived as 33-35 degrees.

In 1742, the governor of the island of Mauritius, Mahe de La Bordonnais, sent a ship to the archipelago, after which the largest island received the name Mahe. At the same time, the islands were named after the French minister Moreau de Sechelles. Since 1756, the French settled on the islands, who in 1770 brought slaves and set up plantations of spices - vanilla, cinnamon, cloves, and also began to grow sugar cane, coffee and corn. At the end of the 18th century, the Seychelles attracted close attention The British Empire, which did not fail to make them part of its territory by annexing Fr. Mauritius in 1840. The state gained independence only in 1976.

The main source of the Seychelles economy is the tourism industry, from which the state receives about 70% of its income, followed by fish production. It is in the Seychelles that the largest tuna processing center in the Indian Ocean basin is located. In addition, the Seychelles is an offshore zone in which thousands of international companies are registered.

Virgin nature is the main wealth of the Seychelles, actively protected by the government and residents of the state.

Fregate Island, privately owned, is small in size: its length is 2 km, width is 1 km. In the Middle Ages, the island was a haven for pirates. Pirate maps indicating treasures were allegedly found on the Frigate by Ian Fleming, the author of the James Bond novels. The treasure has not yet been discovered, and the island remains surrounded by an aura of mystery.

The frigate is located in the easternmost part of the archipelago. There are completely no roads or vehicles here: you can only move on foot or by bike along the paths. The nature of the island is unique: rare plants grow here (takamaka, filao, banana, mango, Indian almond trees and centuries-old baobab trees) and unique birds live: Seychelles dials, coconut doves, song magpies, petrels and, of course, frigate birds.

The landscape is dominated by giant, intricately shaped granite boulders surrounding 7 pinkish sand beaches. The best beach - Anse Victorine is located directly in front of the only hotel on the island, Frégate Island Private 5 * - one of the most expensive hotels in the world, built in 1998.

Aldabra Atoll

Aldabra Atoll is the second largest atoll in the world, belonging to the Seychelles archipelago, located in the Indian Ocean, 420 km northeast of Madagascar. Entry to the territory of the atoll is carried out strictly with passes; human presence is reduced to an absolute minimum, since there is a unique natural reserve Aldabra, included in the UNESCO World Heritage List in 1982.

The territory of the atoll and the islands in its lagoon is about 186 sq. km. Like other isolated islands and oceanic island groups, Aldabra is characterized by a high percentage of endemic plant and animal species. Aldabra is home to the world's largest population of giant tortoises, numbering approximately 100 thousand individuals. The coastal waters of the atoll abound with marine life, which attracts divers here. Aldabra Nature Park has its own website.

What to see

An excursion program on the island of Mahe will not be complete without a walk around the capital of Seychelles - Victoria.

The main street of Victoria is called Market Street, and on it, in addition to numerous shops, souvenir shops and markets, there is the Cathedral of the Immaculate Conception (early 20th century), the Clock Tower (1903), a natural history museum and a small historical museum, the largest Seychelles supermarket , the size of which actually does not exceed the size of an average store in a small European town, as well as the only two traffic lights in the entire archipelago.

The buildings of the Bank of Seychelles, the National Library and Parliament, a small Anglican church, a blue and white Hindu temple “gopuram”, a modest mosque and a market named after Sir Selwyn Selwyn-Clark may seem interesting.

The northern part of Mahe Island, consisting of high hills of volcanic origin, covered with tropical forests, is part of the Seychelles Morne National Reserve, named after the largest hill that rises in the center of its territory. The eastern border of the reserve runs 1 km from the city of Victoria, the western border stretches from Port Launay Bay in the north to Grand Anse Bay in the south. The reserve has many hiking trails and relict species of trees and shrubs.

If you head from Victoria to Port Glaud Bay on the west coast of Mahe Island along one of the few asphalt roads, then, less than 2 km from the coast, you can find the Morne Blanc hill (667 m). On its slopes is located the only Tea Factory in the Seychelles, founded here in 1962. Most of the tea produced is flavored with vanilla, sometimes lemon, orange, mint and cinnamon are added. You can climb the hill along a path past the tea terraces to the factory premises itself, where tourists will be shown all the stages of tea production. In the souvenir shop at the factory, for 10 rupees you can buy various types of tea or a bag of citronella, a local plant whose properties can be compared to the invigorating properties of coffee. There is also a Tea Tavern at the tea factory, where you can taste all types of tea before purchasing.

The Royal Garden is located next to Royal Bay, 18 km south of Victoria on the island of Mahe. The garden was founded in 1772 by French colonists who began growing spices here. The garden, exuding spicy, exquisite aromas, still exists; it is a private property, the owners of which have restored the estate in the center of the site and invite tourists on a tour. The estate has a small restaurant serving Creole cuisine, a souvenir shop, and a small museum of the life of Seychelles planters of the 19th century. Each visitor to the garden receives a small gift - a seedling of one of the plants: avocado, patchouli, ginger, clove, pepper, nutmeg or vanilla.

The artisan village is located just north of Royal Bay, next to Au Cap Beach on Mahe Island. The village in the traditional Creole spirit was built specifically to introduce tourists to Creole crafts, architecture and cooking. In the center of the village is a large restored manor house (Grann Kaz) in colonial style, dating from 1870. It is surrounded by 12 huts, converted into craft workshops and souvenir shops, where you can buy historically accurate models of frigates, paintings, and coconut crafts.

In Blue Hens Bay on the island of Mahe there is a gallery of the most famous artist of the Seychelles - Michael Adams. He managed to achieve recognition not only in his homeland, but throughout the world. The small, traditional chalet houses a studio, art gallery and shop selling vibrant silk paintings, watercolors, postcards and designer calendars. The cost of work is from 10 to 8,500 rupees.

The botanical garden of Mont Fleury was founded on the island of Mahe in 1901 by Mr. Dupont as an experimental plantation where tropical plants brought to the island were grown. Today, about 200 species of exotic and local plants grow on the 6-hectare garden. The main place is occupied by palm trees, of which there are several dozen species in the garden, among them the famous sea coconut palm, which has been under state protection since 1978. In the garden, everyone has the opportunity to plant their own coconut tree, receiving a sprouted nut for a small amount.

Less than a kilometer from the village of Baie Ste Anne on the island of Praslin, the territory of the famous May Valley begins - a reserve of sea coconut palms, included in the UNESCO World Heritage List. The May Valley is a European’s idea of heaven on earth brought to life; in the 19th century it was even called the Garden of Eden. On the territory of the park of 19.5 hectares, many endemic plants grow. The main wealth of the May Valley is the largest plantation (about 7,000 palm trees) of the sea coconut palm (Coco-de-mer) - Lodoicea maldivica, the fruits of which are of an interesting shape (the fruits of female and male palms are distinguished) considered the symbol of Seychelles.

You can walk around the May Valley in 2-4 hours: 5 routes, marked with arrows, follow specially laid paths. The reserve is also interesting for ornithologists: bird lovers can see here the Seychelles nightingale, falcon, Indian mynah, salang, blue pigeon, and rare black parrot (coracopsis nigra barklyi). The fauna of May Valley is represented by geckos, chameleons, turtles, and Seychelles flying foxes (huge bats with a wingspan of up to 1 meter).

This attraction of Praslin Island is located on the Gold Coast beach. In the gallery you can get acquainted with the work of local artist George Kamil , which has become widely known in the Seychelles since the end of the last century, and has visited many European capitals with exhibitions. George Camille's paintings are distinguished by a riot of colors of tropical nature, imbued with the festive spirit of the Creole worldview. The gallery features watercolors, pencil, pastels, silkscreens, prints, acrylics and relief collages. Many works can be purchased. The cost of work is from 300 to 10,000 rupees.

On the west coast of Praslin, near the local airport, in the village of Amitie, there is the Black Pearl farm. , where black pearls are grown. The mollusks Pinctada margaritifera, which produce black pearls (their shade can vary), were brought to the Seychelles 10 years ago as an experiment, and they have taken root well in warm tropical waters. The farm offers excursions during which tourists are introduced to the process of pearl cultivation, and there is a jewelry store where you can purchase black pearl jewelry set in 18-karat gold.

The Black Pearl farm also breeds giant colorful clams Tridacna maxima, which are very popular among European and American aquarists. Tridacna maxima mollusks are unpretentious; on the farm they thrive in four outdoor pools in the vicinity of tropical fish, turtles and other inhabitants of coral reefs.

Union Estate Park in the village of Union on La Digue Island is the island's main tourist attraction.

The park was built on land that belonged to the aristocratic Hossen family in the 19th century. The master's house is still the central building of the complex; it is one of the oldest colonial buildings in the archipelago. Tourists are attracted by the fact that it was here that Francois Leterrier filmed some episodes of the famous film “Adieu Emmanuel.” Today, this wooden building with a roof made of palm leaves is the private property of former Seychelles President France Albert Rene.

A natural attraction of the park is a granite mountain, which dates back 75 million years. It was formed by magma flows, which determined its bizarre shape. At the foot of the cliff there is an enclosure with giant land tortoises brought to La Digue from Aldabra National Park.

The Seychelles can be called a real paradise on Earth. This is a very beautiful nature, and the granite origin of this archipelago makes them unique. Unfortunately, this place is expensive and is intended exclusively for wealthy people. Often, a hotel room per night will cost at least 200 euros, and most often more. Usually tourists from Europe fly here: French, Italians. There are almost no Russians, it seems to me that ours choose the Maldives for this type of holiday, which are partly similar to the Seychelles, and direct flights are much more attractive than transfers.

What attracts tourists to the Seychelles?! There are many answers here, but everyone has their own goal. To summarize, the Seychelles has a very high-quality beach holiday, high-level hotels that are ready to offer guests large number services, delicious food and lots of smiles. By the way, local residents are always smiling and hospitable towards the guests of their republic. The reason is their mentality, and tourism is the main income that brings Seychelles good money to the budget. Also, the flora and fauna here is incredibly beautiful. You can see with your own eyes real giant turtles, large crabs, black terns and much more. The underwater world of the coastal shores is rich in beautiful coral reefs, perfect for divers and those interested in scuba diving.

The climatic conditions are favorable for coming here all year round. There is no cold here, and the air temperature varies from +26 to +31 degrees.

TOURIST REVIEWS:

How much does a holiday in Seychelles cost? February 2017.

Tour cost

The vacation, as a honeymoon for 12 days, was planned entirely independently. A flight from Moscow with a transfer in Dubai with Emirates airlines for two people cost about 80,000 rubles. A visa to Seychelles is not required; in terms of bureaucracy, this is the simplest vacation. But absolutely not cheap. The cost of a taxi from the airport to the resort area of Mahe was $50. We moved to different islands, so we booked accommodation in different places. In Mahe we lived in a 4* hotel, the cost for two per night with breakfast was 200 dollars. Then we rented villas on the islands of Praslin and La Digue, but without breakfast, also 200 dollars a day for two. There you can cook yourself, but you can also order breakfast separately for $25 per person.

Fishing is popular as excursions, either for three hours, for a day or at night. We went fishing for three hours - $150 per person. We really enjoyed it.

Food and products

Food in restaurants is very expensive; a modest breakfast of an omelet and freshly squeezed juice costs about $50 for two. Popular snacks on the beach, where local fishermen come and fry freshly caught fish on the grill, so fish with a side dish (rice, potatoes or vegetables) will cost you only 5 dollars per person, freshly squeezed mango or papaya juice is only 2 dollars. Fresh fruit bananas or mango branches are also 2 dollars. It costs $2 to drink a coconut. Alcohol is quite expensive - an average bottle of wine is $15, a can of beer is $4-5.

Souvenirs and other goods

We didn’t buy much souvenirs, magnets cost 6 dollars, in a regular store, if you find a market, it’s cheaper there.
